I have always enjoyed laughing and surrounding myself with people that made me laugh. Somehow I’ve managed to see humour even in very serious situations. Of course at a young age this was seen as being immature…
Until I discover Laughter Yoga and realized that I had that childlike attitude! I did not need to grow up and get serious!
It only took one session to convince me that this was my calling in life!!!
Shortly after becoming a LYL, I lost my job…Turned out to be the best timing to start practising what I had just learned…the amazing benefits of LY.
I had such conviction in LY that it gave me confidence to move forward and feel joyful inside throughout that period in my life. I just had to share this with the world!!
And sharing I do!! I started sharing my LY with seniors, cancer patients and people living with, depression and those with Alzheimer.
I had a new job!! And what a gratifying one!!
While I was busy spreading LY, my life was shifting… my kids “loves of my life” were leaving home , my loving and supporting husband was being transferred, we had to relocate and start fresh .
I was given a new opportunity to “walk the talk”. Laughter Yoga became my “rock” my life tool to stay happy, positive, healthy and resilient though this new great chapter. Oh, and did I mention great sleep!!
In that year of adjustment, I had the unique privilege of accompanying and coaching a friend in his great battle with cancer. We laughed regularly in person or on Skype …until one day he felt ready to move on and open his own Laughter Club in heaven.
All of these amazing experience have reinforced my determination to keep on spreading laughter and to contaminated everyone I meet until laughter Yoga has the place it deserves in preventative and complementary medicine!!
I consider myself very lucky to do the work I do, have LY in my life and for being still very immature!!
